My tattoo’s days are numbered

Yup, the ugly artwork on my right arm is on death row. I made an appointment for tattoo removal on July 24 — almost exactly a year after I went for the initial consultation. I’ll be going to the same place. To recap, the place uses this special saline solution to draw the ink from the skin, administering it via a regular tattoo gun. Fun, right?

But it’ll be worth it. I can’t even convey what a pain in the neck it has been to be unable to wear sleeveless tops and dresses, as well as tops with short-short sleeves. It’s even more frustrating during the heat of the Las Vegas summer. And overall, I just HATE hiding my body. It’s also a hindrance as far as the issue of intimacy with partners who would prefer not to see such a marking.

I hope it works really well for you, hon.

I’m glad I love my tattoo. It’s art! West coast native art to be exact.

Hi Cassandra! I stumbled on your page from T-Central and I like it so far.

How did your removal procedure go? I’ve had one tattoo on my arm for like 18 years and, now that I’m full time, I feel like I need to hide it all the time or get more. Other procedures seemed like they left a lot of scarring, so I’m curious to see how it turned out.

    Regards,

    Anna

It wasn’t as painful as I thought it was going to be. In fact, it was nothing compared to how I used to feel during electrolysis. Right now, there’s a scab forming over the tattoo, which is supposedly key to the process since that’s how the ink gets absorbed via the saline solution that they apply after using the tattoo gun. I’ll probably have to go for a few follow-up sessions, but it’s still hard to tell yet. I’ll be sure to post updates as the process progresses, especially since several trans girls have already expressed interest in the outcome.

    Thanks for visiting!
