Of course, Steinem's bias is palpable. I for one am really grateful about all the progress that's been made. I guess we have the same taste! I bought it used a bunch of years ago and didn't read every chapter, but I did read her Playboy bunny expose. I have another one of her books around here somewhere, too. I agree with you about how some of the second wave stuff seems strident and outdated. I remember wondering if I should feel guilty for wearing makeup or heels! We've made so much progress in the past 30 to 40 years and that's really cool. I have that Steinem book!
